My work explores immersive new media in digital, physical and hybrid spaces. From multi screen installations at the Outernet and Frameless in London to tethered and standalone VR based experiences, I keenly explore themes of social & climate justice, and cultural identity through emerging technolgies
My fiction work spans genres, including fantasy, drama and satire, and has been accoladed at various festivals including Dadasaheb Phalke Short Film Fest, South Asian Short Film Festival and others. My independent practice is supplemented by my role in the Indian film industry as a Post Production Supervisor, Editor and Associate Producer
My work as a social campaigner and peace activist has led me across thousands of kilometres and introduced me to some amazing people. My work explores climate justice, social themes and the spirit of loving, kindness and compassion through my non-fiction explorations. I also try to find newer ways to tell the stories, including shorter documentaries and even musical montages that aim to capture the essence of a journey
Interactive media has some really interesting ways of engaging audiences, and I have been testing it in various forms, including interactive video (multi-choice video narratives), algorithmic reactive installations through Touch Designer, and even interactive text based branching stories. These are all quite diverse in their output, but the end process is a form of 'gamification' of the storytelling journey.
